40x46 mm Rounds with Signaling Grenades are intended to be used for creation of signals at the time of combat or special operations.
The rounds are designed to be fired from:
- Underbarrel Grenade Launchers: ARSENAL UBGL-M6, UBGL-M7, UBGL-M16; M203; HK 69; etc.;
- Stand-alone Grenade Launchers: ARSENAL UGGL-M1, HK 69A1; M 79; STAR FN SCAR; M320; etc.;
- Multi-shot Grenade Launchers: Milkor MGL; M32 MGL; ARSENAL MSGL; etc.  
The ammunition can be stored in non-heated storehouses for 5 years and 3 years in field conditions under sheds, protected from direct sunlight and rain, but only if kept in the original packaging of the manufacturer.
